The “Swedish Ballet” exhibition is causing a stir at Opéra Garnier, a Dadaist frenzy whipped up by Rolf de Maré and his fellow travellers – Jean Börlin, Satie, Picabia, Cocteau, and Léger – who embodied the avant-garde spirit of the 1920s in Paris. They were the first to transcend classic artistic disciplines by combining poetry, painting, music and dance.
