korea now!
The core idea of the visual concept for the “Korea Now!” exhibition is to establish connections through the use of empty space. In Korean culture, emptiness is not a place where nothing happens, but a space where anything is possible.
The exhibition design included an installation in the lobby of Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris with typographic mobiles and a forest of kakemonos, the names of the three exhibitions with typographic sculptures, and a text system for the rooms and labels, as well as the design of the catalogues presenting the three “Korea Now!” exhibitions on Korean design, crafts, graphic arts and fashion.
Graphic design by Malte Martin with Amélie Lebleu and editorial consulting by Nawal Bakouri.
