a cult and pop lab
A cultural laboratory in a popular neighborhood of Paris, Belleville which is that of our studio. An attempt of a cultural site too rare in Paris in the former headquarters of the steelworkers union.
A simple idea to support a visual identity with modest means and largely realised by the team of the institution.
Two primary colored rounds, yellow and magenta, come together and begin to form a third field. It is in this friction, in this mixing that culture is born according to Philippe Mourat and Christine Chalas directors of the ‘Maison des Métallos’ (Home of the Steelworkers).
It is this space that welcomes words and embodies this “steelworkers’ spirit”. After installing this identity we started playing with colors according to the seasons and the blue bars which emphasized the words were empowered and began to dance.
